It depends on the Skill.

For ecosystem workflows, Claude uses both SE Ranking and Planable data. For example, a Skill can turn SE Ranking keyword gaps, competitor wins, and ranking losses into a themed social campaign drafted and optionally scheduled in Planable.

How do I install Content Skills for Claude?
Content Skills for Claude are available through the SE Ranking SEO Skills and Planable SMM Skills plugins. You can install both in Claude Desktop or Claude Code.
In Claude Desktop, open Customize, click Personal plugin → + Add, then choose Add marketplace. Enter seranking/seo-skills to install SE Ranking’s SEO Skills, and planable/smm-skills to install Planable’s SMM Skills.

Do Content Skills work in both Claude Cowork and Claude Code?
Yes. Content Skills can be used in both Claude Cowork and Claude Code after the SE Ranking SEO Skills and Planable SMM Skills plugins are installed.
Use Claude Cowork when you want to ask for content briefs, audits, social drafts, or reports in a chat-style workspace. Use Claude Code when you prefer working from the terminal or want to include Skills in a more technical workflow.
Why do I need both Claude Content Skills and MCP?
Claude Skills give Claude the process: which steps to follow, what to check, and what output to create. SE Ranking and Planable MCP provide the data behind that process. SE Ranking adds SEO and AI visibility data, while Planable adds social content and analytics context.
Do I need SE Ranking and Planable subscriptions to use Content Skills?
You can install the Skills without active subscriptions, but you need SE Ranking and Planable accounts with MCP access to use them with live data.

Can Claude generate content directly, or only plan and brief it?
Most Content Skills for Claude plan and brief, they turn SE Ranking data into a structured brief, cluster plan, or content idea list your team writes from. One exception: the E-E-A-T/AI-readiness Skill drafts real social promotion posts in Planable for pages that pass review. For long-form content like blog posts, the brief is the deliverable, writing the piece stays a separate step.
